Welcome to the World of Chevalin

Far in the future, after calamity have destroyed humanity and left only the ruined shells of their civilization behind, the islands of Chevalin are home to horses, split into three separate herds with very different ways of life. Making their homes on three separate islands, these herds would have little contact, but lately, Nature herself has thrown obstacles in the way of that status quo.

Ill omens agitate the religious horses of the Olde Herd as their holy site, the Praying Pool, has turned from turquoise to red and their Oracle speaks of change, of horses approaching that should not be. Vasska, descendant of the unicorns the herd worships, must ensure the safety of his people in the face of a possible onslaught of heathens.

The democratic Exiles in the South find that as the last embers of the forest fire that has ravaged their Island fade, they face a situation no less dire: on their entire island, only a small patch of greenery remains, not enough to feed the entire herd until the next rains can revive the burnt land. There is only one way for them to go: North, to the emerald East Island, in the hopes of striking a deal with the lush island's masters.

In between, the Bachelor stallions rule their broodmares with an iron hoof, secure in their belief that might makes right, and that no one is stronger than they. They've seen the angry glow of the raging fire, and now they've seen it fade. Convinced that the equinox will bring outsiders across the land bridges connecting the three islands, the lead stallion Klaus aims to make sure those horses don't slip into his territory unnoticed.

One thing the three herds have in common: They've all been stirred up by the winds of change blowing across Chevalin. As for what sort of change rides on those winds, well... maybe not even the witch Ba'yagu knows.

I've got, of course, my ever-charming Savant in the Bachelor Herd, and I happen to know that Bachelor stallions are among the spots still open. So come join us with your best brute, or if that's too rich for you, there's a few spots left for Exile stallions as well.
